1.1 billion pesos smuggling case, isinampa ng BOC sa CDO meat processing firm

SINAMPAHAN ng 1.1 billion pesos smuggling case, ng Bureau of Customs (BOC), sa Department of Justice (DOJ), ang kilalang meat processing firm na CDO.

Ito ay dahil sa umano’y  undervaluation ng kanilang mga imported products mula sa iba’t-ibang bansa,kung saan nagbayad lamang sila ng mahigit sa anim na milyong piso, para sa 207 buffalo meat, na dapat sana ay 1.1bilyong piso, ang kanilang import duties.

Kabilang sa mga kinasuhan ay  sina Rolando Juan Cruz, ang Assistant Vice President for Finance ng CDO-Foodsphere Inc. at Romeo Lerit, na isang customs broker.

Bukod dito, pineke rin umano ng mga opisyal ang invoice ng transaction, para maitago ang kanilang iligal na gawain.
